Will new S.F. bike plan ever be passed?
CAR, the Coalition for Adequate Review, fights against more bike lanes
There is an excellent bike plan in the works for San Francisco by city planners which will add thirty miles or more of bike lanes in the City.
However, CAR, has been fighting the plan based on inadequate environmental review of the plan: "Rob Anderson, the citizen behind the lawsuit, said the city catered to a vocal minority of bicyclists without sufficiently studying effects on the driving public and merchants who want convenient parking for their customers."

Charlie Kelly's MTB website is pure Mountain Bike History
One of the people deeply involved in the origins of the marin mountain bike epic has a website.
You must see the old images and art work from marin's early mountain biking era. Truly priceless stuff. The artwork/images/maps from Joe Breeze, the Cragg's, Pete Barrett, and others, is amazing.

Making safe Bike Lanes on SFD requires cutting some trees down
The question is whether to cut 7 or 70 trees.
It looks like the ever changing plans for widening bike lanes on Sir Francis Drake blvd. near Samuel P. Taylor Park is going to be a big hassle.
